Sociology

Sociology is largely regarded as a skills subject by universities. With this qualification students will be seen as good at debating, research and essay writing. At VHS most pupils get A and B-grades in this subject.

The main topics studied are education, families and households, religion and crime and deviance. They’re all interesting to discuss and easy to relate to student’s own lives. Past pupils have gone on to study Psychology, Law, Medicine, English, Dentistry and Sociology, as well as many other subjects - Sociology leaves your future choices open!
