Personal Social Health and Citizenship Education

Tutors who specialise in particular topics including Global Citizenship, Politics, Human Rights and the Media teach PSHE and Citizenship. Topics including Drugs Education and Sex & Relationships are supported by outside agencies that provide expert and up to date knowledge and guidance. Students enjoy the opportunity to debate topical issues and like the range of resources and interactive teaching strategies that are used.

Students have many opportunities to be ’Active Citizens’ in the school, as part of the Eco Square, World Wise Club and the ever-widening array of extra curricular activities. The school has recently achieved Healthy Schools Status, partly due to the excellent PSHE provision.
