Food and Textiles

Food and Textiles is a vital part of the Design and Technology Department, it is an exiting and vibrant area that is staffed by committed and dynamic specialist teachers.

Textiles are a very popular and successful option at GCSE and are offered up to A2 standard.

In Food Technology learners are taught about health and hygiene and there is a pre-programmable tunnel oven that allows them to experience industrial applications by replicating a commercial Batch-Production facility in the classroom.

Students at Valentines are keen to show off the skills they have learned and have entered and won may local and National competitions.
