Design Technology

Design Technology

Department of Design and Technology

The Design and Technology Department is a dynamic, forward-thinking Department, with specialist teachers in Electronics, Graphic Products, Food, Textiles and Product Design.

Students are taught to be creative thinkers while developing an understanding of the constraints of materials, manufacturing processes and working to deadlines.

We offer learners a balanced curriculum covering all aspects of Design and Technology. Every room has interactive white boards and computers and there are two laser cutters and two large media plotter cutters to support the traditional areas of Design and Technology.

There are thriving after school clubs including "Young Engineers" and an aero modelling club who have recently taken to the skies with their self built radio controlled models.
