Teen Finalists in good company

 

Young business brains will represent their country in a Europe wide final after impressing judges with an idea for an anti-violence company.


The five 16 and 17-year olds, from Valentines High School, Cranbrook Road, Gants Hill, joined peers from across England as their made their pitch in the national final of the European Business Game.


They faced a panel of judges from the business world to explain why their new fictional company, Urban Ambition, is a winner. Questions were thrown at them as the judges probed the ideas of the young entrepreneurs.


By the team Umair Babar, Sabina Siddiqui, Mohammed Rajput, Ayyaz Zafar and Nida Zafar beat competition to be named the winners in London.


They will represent their school and England in the European final, to be held in Limousin, France, next month. School deputy director of sixth-form, Jessica Lee, who joined the youngsters at the final said: “They worked so hard on the day. They felt it was a real challenge. They were overjoyed to win. They gave it 110 per cent.”
