First Give Finals - nail biting stuff!

Tuesday evening saw the final of the Year 9 First Give project - a valuable, charitable enterprise that teaches the value of social action as teams compete to win a prize of £1000 for their chosen charity.  We welcomed teachers, parents/carers and charity representatives in to the private study area in the Sixth Form and witnessed some amazing, creative, passionate and well-thought out presentations.  A huge congratulations is deserved by all those that took part - their work was genuinely impressive!  The worthy winners of the £1000 donation were Kings (Zarmina, Shane, Sophie, Najia, Malayeka and Amandeep).  Kings will be presenting their hard-won giant cheque to The Dream Factory; a registered charity that grants the wishes and dreams of young people aged 3-25 that are suffering with a terminal illness.  Worthy winners one and all!

Thank you to Layla from First Give for facilitating; Mr Laws and Mr Woodley for judging; and to the three members of Youth Parliament that gave up their time to join the judging panel also.
